Application of knowledge to case studies is emphasized to develop skills in integrating nutrition into the assessment and management of acute illness and chronic medical conditions. The course prepares students to recognize the impact of nutrition in disease and apply this information personally and professionally in the areas of public health, community nutrition, clinical dietetics and clinical medicine.
