Course Description

Applications of engineering concepts and transport phenomena to unit operations in food processing. Emphasis on the fundamental principles of thermodynamics, material and energy balances and momentum, heat and mass transport processes.
When Offered Fall.
Prerequisites/Corequisites Prerequisite: FDSC 2000 and introductory physics.
Outcomes
- Introduce students to the basic engineering aspects of food processing operations.
